SUNDAY JUNE 21, 2015
~ Happy Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere and Winter Solstice for those in the Southern Hemisphere.. You have yourself 15 hours and 4 minutes of daylight – to celebrate and take advantage of the powerful energy available. Today, the Sun stands stills. Yep, the celestial ball of fire, that without it, there would be no life here on earth. The Sun reaches its northern peak in the heavens, stops and then continues its journey south. Of all the heavenly bodies, it is the center of our universe here on earth (although not technically accurate), without which there would be no life.
The Sun and Moon do “the old switcheroo” around noon time. The Sun enters Cancer and the Moon enters Virgo. This makes for a nice family day of celebration but also hosts practical, down-to-earth activities. You’ll be inclined to fix, organize and put everything in its proper place. Everything & Everybody that is: including yourself. Uh Oh!!! ………Making appointments and setting schedules. Start new diets, health and/or fitness regimes. You’ll be your own personal ‘efficiency expert.’ Picking yourself and everything else apart. Go EZ…….Perfection is not Possible. Being a better version of your previous self, however, is always within your immediate grasp.
It is not that you are not interested in others outside your circle but really and truly, you are not interested in others outside your circle. When the Sun is in Cancer that is….. Your attention turns inward to yourself, your family and things that are prefaced with *your.* Those things you take care of and care for…. This also can be a moody time, ups and downs like the tides of the moon. It is those things you should put on your agenda today.
The Solstice takes place at 12:38 PM:EDT – Happy Summering to You and Yours.
